Enjoy the tour of RCA Victor table radios. They have been acquired by me from Ebay, swap meets, “junk shops” and fellow collectors. Each has been professionally restored by me and each is in service almost weekly. They are not for sale.

This is a 7-tube 3-band radio with broadcast, medium and short-wave bands. When band is switched, an individual lamp lights behind the band in order to indicate which band is selected.

The knobs are bakelite, but the escutshon is metal. Tenite, a plastic like substance was introduced two years later as it was less expensive than metal to construct.

This radio was purchased by me from a fellow collector at the Northland Antique Radio Club fall 2010 swap meet in St. Paul.

RCA introduced this 86T model in its 1937 fall line-up. It resides on my kitchen counter snack bar and is in daily use.

The flawless tenite escutshon surrounds the 3-band dial. These escutshons have a tendency to shrink and therefore crack. Following WWII they had pretty much disappeared. This radio has a vernier dial (note the inner dial and short hand)

The 86T has 6 tubes. I purchased this one at a mall in Ironwood, Mi., for the ridiculously low price of 33 dollars and NO sales tax in Michigan.

The RCA 75X11 was put on the market in 1948. There were various cabinet styles of this radio including an oriental cabinet. This is perhaps the most common.
